Professional principles

Code of ethics

This code governs every HOSPIRIS assignment, from preparation to delivery. It protects the client, the people observed and the independence of the analysis.

A useful audit depends on clear professional safeguards that can be applied in practice.

01

Independence

Any interest or connection that could influence an assignment is disclosed. HOSPIRIS declines work when its independence cannot be guaranteed.

02

Confidentiality

Information, results and deliverables are restricted to the client and people authorised by the client. No property is named publicly without written permission.

03

Objectivity

Each report separates observed facts, the mystery guest’s perception and professional analysis. Uncertainty and limitations are stated explicitly.

04

Respect for people

The assessment concerns the experience, practices and organisation, never a person’s worth. Consultants and mystery guests are not publicly named or pictured.

05

Proportionality

Recommendations reflect guest impact, cost, timing and the property’s actual capacity. An isolated incident is always placed in context.

06

Traceability

Material findings are documented against explicit criteria. Reservations, unverified items and external sources are clearly identified.

07

Data protection

Access is restricted to authorised people. Client accounts, assignment records and deliverables are protected according to their level of confidentiality.

08

Practical value

An observation is retained only when it helps explain the guest experience or support a decision. Recommendations are concrete, achievable and prioritised.
